We're calling on Premier Steven Miles and OppositionLeader David Crisafulli tocommit to a cost-of-livingpackage that will:
1. Provide bill and food relief
Ongoing rebates for Queenslanders on low incomes, access to energy efficiency and renewable grants for people on low incomes, investment in renewable generation and storage for people on low incomes.
Improve financial counselling services and invest in programs that reduce digital disadvantage and food insecurity.
2. End the housing crisis
A credible 10-year housing plan with an ambition of ending housing need in Queensland so that every Queenslander has a roof over their head.
3. Support families with children
Increase accessibility to early childhood education and inclusion in schools.
Fund early years hubs and grow community-controlled kindergarten, family wellbeing services and organisations working with children.
4. Invest in frontline services
A community services industry strategy that would address the financial sustainability of the sector.
A commitment to no program cuts and maintenance of programs and policies of particular importance to the sector.
